Manufacturing Segment Buyer

for Hungary, Czech Republic and Romania

We currently have a vacancy for a Manufacturing Segment Buyer here at PPG to deliver competitive sourcing for manufacturing related spend across the Hungary, Romania, Czech and Slovakia regions. Based in the Hungary, Budapest you will have frequent interaction with other segment buyers and EMEA Category Managers within the wider Global team.

Some key areas of focus within this role will include:

  • Delivering savings across the Hungary, Romania, Czech and Slovakia of 0,2-0,3 MM€ across the manufacturing spend.
  • Reducing the number of suppliers in the specified regions related to manufacturing by > 20%, propelling change management and collaboration with local stakeholders.
  • Driving supplier performance through the PPG $ave portal and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring that 50% of your top 20 suppliers are contributing to $ave and exceeding their SLA agreements.
  • Actively participating in the energy sourcing strategy for the territory, executing the market tenders and lead initiatives to obtain any potential government subsidies and grants.
  • Defining and leading a specific savings project across the EMEA region.

To be successful in this role you will be:

  • A dynamic purchasing professional, with significant experience within Manufacturing demonstrating a strong understanding of the CEE equipment and contractor market.
  • Experience in tackling both CAPEX and OPEX spends, with a clear understanding of contracts, performance management and issue resolution.
  • Able to demonstrate strong business acumen, with first class communication and relationship building capabilities.
